Reuters poll: RBA cash rate seen at 2% by June 2019

According to the latest Reuters poll, economists foresee RBA cash rate at 2% by June 2019. The central bank, however, is expected to hold rates steady at 1.5% in December meeting.

Out of the 42 economists polled, 28 forecast a steady rate outlook by September 2018 and 14 expect a rate hike by then. Meanwhile, 23 see at least one rate hike by December 2018 and 1 expects a rate cut.
