US: House prices rose 0.3% in August to match expectations

"U.S. house prices rose in August, up 0.3 percent from the previous month," the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) reported on Monday. This reading came in line with analysts' estimate.

  • The previously reported 0.2 percent increase in July was revised upward to 0.4 percent. 
  • From August 2017 to August 2018, house prices were up 6.1 percent.
